Atlas is all too happy to follow that order

  1. I understand the hatred against Marcos character, but at the same time it reflects insecurities and extreme loneliness. It obviously shouldn’t fall upon Atlas shoulders, but he was the first to notice Marcos weakness and behave with him differently from the way he talks and considers the others who are in charge around him. Marcos is the one doing the wrong things and Atlas his victim, but neither of them is actually better than the other, they are still far away from being conscious of themselves and the bad they could be doing to others around them.

    1. “A sexually assaulted slave and the man who owns and assaulted him are both sometimes inconsiderate, and therefore one is not better than the other” is certainly a take. Like yeah, Atlas is mean, but mean isn’t evil the same way that nice isn’t good.

Frankly, “nice but not good” isn’t a bad descriptor of Marcos. Atlas could’ve feigned friendship he didn’t feel and played the politics game better, but it would have just been leading Marcos’ dumb ass on, he’s completely incapable of separating “nice ’cause I have to be” from “nice ’cause I like you”. It was over from second zero because Marcos went into this work relationship with the expectation that the satyr hired to him would be providing him with sex and romance, with magic and strategic counsel a barely considered afterthought.

  2. freak this guy!!!!!!!!

  3. “O… oh no. This wasn’t… wait, I know! Atlas, I ORDER you to like me!!”

Atlas: *shooting his hatred eyebeams at max intensity and velocity*

    “W-w-why isn’t it working?”
